Alijo to Casal de Loiuvios was the third day of our hike in the Douro River Valley. The day started with an early sunrise. With spectacular views the hike was a photo a minute. The funky figures were in a local pub with an owner who made this stuff out of gourds. Despite the language barrier he kept a conversation going with the 8 of us, and the beer coming. The bill was a corner of scrap paper and only 53 Euros.
