Sorrento, Capri, and Pompeii are part of the Campania region of southern Italy:. The scenery is exceptional as its the intersection of land, sea and volcano. History goes beyond Pompeii and how Mt Vesuvius buried the town and its people - alive. A day trip to Capri will explain why it was a favorite getaway for Rome's rulers with even the Emperor Tiberius making it his full time home from 27AD till his death in 37AD. Another fun fac t is Audrey Hepburn popularized Capri Pants in the 1950's. The Limoncello is great too!!
