Borghese Gallery, Rome 2025

Borghese Gallery turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Our tour guide shared a unique history of the Borghese family and how, given the world did not have mass media, sports, expensive cars etc at the time, the wealthy competed with there art collections. The Borghese collection represents an evolution inf art between the Renaissance, the Baroque and the Neoclassicism art movements in Italy. Ironically we ran into a car show of Ferraris, Alfa Romeos, FIATs and the like across from the grounds.
